One Life to Live is getting a grand sendoff on The View. Hours before the 43-year-old daytime drama airs for the final time, the hosts of the ABC talk show will commemorate and honor it with a special one-hour theme show, and six-time Emmy Award winner Erika Slezak (Viki Lord) will serve as a featured guest co-host. The episode will air on Friday, January 13.
The tribute to the Llanview based soap is scheduled to include appearances by the show’s legendary creator Agnes Nixon, as well as an array of One Life to Live alumni. Namely, Judith Light (ex-Karen Wolek), Robin Strasser (Dorian Lord), Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer), James DePaiva (Max Holden), Robert S. Woods (Bo Buchanan) and Hillary B. Smith (Nora Buchanan).
The show will feature other surprise guests, exclusive interviews, never-before-seen footage of the final taping, a sneak peek clip of the last broadcast, the final cast photograph and special video taped messages from past stars.
There will also be a musical montage that will showcase some of One Life to Live’s most memorable moments over the years.
Guests are being announced regularly at abc.com/theview.
The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. on ABC.
