Rupert Boneham, who first appeared on Survivor: Pearl Islands in 2003, has filed papers indicating he is considering a run for the governor of Indiana with the Indiana Election Division, according to Indystar.com.
Boneham, who made two additional appearances on the series and was voted fan favorite by Survivor: All Star viewers, and was awarded a $1 million prize as a result. He used a percentage of his winnings to create Rupert’s Kids, an organization to help at-risk teens.
“I have spent my entire adult life serving my community and I see an opportunity to make a difference for Indiana,” Boneham wrote on the www.rupertforgovernor.com.
He also indicates on the website that he will make a final decision about his candidacy in a few weeks.
