One Life to Live hasn’t even officially bitten the dust — the show goes off the air on Friday, January 13 — and four of the show’s actors have already found a new home on General Hospital. Kassie DePaiva, Roger Howarth, Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson will reprise their Llanview characters as part of a new storyline, which begins production in late January 2012.
“We have a very exciting story planned for the citizens of Port Charles, with Sonny Corinthos at the center of it! I am confident viewers and fans alike will be excited for the arrival of John (Easton), Starr (Alderson), Blair (DePaiva) and Todd (Howarth),” said current GH executive producer, former One Life executive producer Frank Valentini. “Incorporating characters from One Life to Live continue the legacy of the show as we weave them into General Hospital.”
DePaiva has portrayed Blair since December 1993. Howarth, who created Todd in 1992, returned to play the character in 2011. Easton joined the One Life to Live cast as John in 2003, after a successful run as Caleb, a vampire, on Port Charles. Alderson has played Todd and Blair’s precocious daughter since 1998.
General Hospital airs at 2 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET on ABC.
