The Hollywood Walk of Fame has in the last few years approved some stars that were questionable, but when asked if it was possible for Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi to receive recognition, the answer was posted on its Facebook page.
“Someone asked if we give reality show characters stars? Hell to the No!” was the response.
Ana Martinez, vice president for media relations and producer for the Hollywood Walk of Fame: “It’s just not on the radar for us right now,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
According to THR, Martinez told CNN, the criteria that is considered by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce includes: awards and honors in entertainment, philanthropic work, longevity in the field and the willingness to agree to the ceremony and pay $30,000 for the star’s installation and upkeep on the street.
That said, there are reality stars already on the boulevard, including Ryan Seacrest, Heidi Klum and Ozzy Osbourne and Gene Simmons, but the latter two are there for their music careers, while Seacrest is there for his radio show and Klum for her work with Victoria’s Secret.
