Want the scoop on Kim Kardashian‘s divorce from Kris Humphries from the person nearest and dearest to the reality TV world princess? Kris Jenner, Kim’s mom, manager and the mastermind behind the Kardashian/Jenner family’s multimillion dollar empire, is set to discuss the subject when she appears on NBC’s Today show on Wednesday.

After a week of rumors that Kardashian’s marriage to Humphries was ending,  Kardashian filed for divorce yesterday, after only 72 days of marriage. According to The Hollywood Reporter, who got the scoop from an insider, Jenner made sure the announcement was made on Monday in time for coverage in the weekly gossip magazines, which go to deadline that day.

Once the announcement was made, Kardashian released a statement about her split from Humphries. “After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage,” said Kardashian via  her rep. “I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.”

Hubby Humphries, however, offered a different take on things, telling E! News: “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce. I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”

Apparently, Humphries wasn’t the only one surprised by the news. So was E!, the network that’s aired Keeping Up with the Kardashians and several other show’s centering around Kim and her family. An E! spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter that the network’s powers-that-be are meeting to discuss how to proceed as a result of the divorce news.

Among their dilemmas, reruns of Kardashian and Humphries’ two-part wedding special are still scheduled to air on E! Then, there’s the problem of the upcoming show, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, which has wrapped shooting and is set to premiere on November 27. A source told The Hollywood Reporter that the  show filmed a scene in which Kardashian and Humphries decide to take a break from one another, but Monday’s divorce announcement now makes that dated.
