Kelly Osbourne is thrilled her little brother, Jack Osbourne, is engaged and eagerly confirmed the news to extratv.com.
“I’m so happy for him!” said Osbourne, co-host of E!’s Fashion Police. “It’s so lovely. I have to say this is the first girl he’s ever introduced me to that I actually liked.”
Osbourne knew the couple were meant to be immediately.
“It was like instant,” noted Osbourne. “I knew as soon I met her it was all over. They were going to end up together forever.”
Osbourne also talked to Extra about her new campaign in support of breast cancer awareness.
“To me, it’s really important to raise as much awareness as I possibly can about it, because it affected me so deeply,” explained Osbourne, who had to face cancer within her own family, when her mother, Sharon Osbourne, battled colon cancer. “The whole month of October is dedicated to breast cancer awareness, and this year I’m working with the Hard Rock Hotel and their Pinktober campaign. They are doing all sorts of really cool stuff — pink drinks, pink bed sheets.”
Osbourne also shared her thoughts on the current Dancing with the Stars cast. As a former contestant and friend of a few of this year’s participants, she had a lot to say.
“I have so much respect for Chaz Bono, it is not even funny,” started off Osbourne. “He’s unbelievable, the bravery. He’s showing the world you can be whoever you want to be and that sends such a beautiful message.”
As for which celebrity Osbourne thinks is this season’s frontrunner, her thoughts are mixed.
“Anybody that has Derek (Hough) as a partner is always a strong frontrunner,” admitted Osbourne, adding that she’s a “a huge fan” of Ricki Lake and is also pals with Rob Kardashian and David Arquette. “So it’s hard to pick. It’s a tough competition this year.”
