A prescription drug problem has landed Grey’s Anatomy‘s Eric Dane in a California treatment center. A rep for the actor told E! Online that the actor became dependent on pain medication after suffering an injury.
In a statement, Dane’s spokesperson explained that the actor “voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus.”
Dane has already successfully completed his rehab stint.
“He reports back to work next week,” added his spokesperson. “Business as usual.”
Grey’s Anatomy just began shooting season eight last week and will begin airing this fall.
