Emily Maynard reveals why she and Brad Womack, the man she met and fell in love with on The Bachelor, called off their engagement on tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette, and executive producer Mike Fleiss promises it is an interview viewers won’t want to miss.
“Watched the final cut of Emily’s interview for Monday’s Bachelorette. Honest, raw and heartbreaking,” tweeted Fleiss. “Bring your tissues.”
The show’s host, Chris Harrison, who conducted the interview, confirmed that it was quite difficult for Maynard to open up about the split. He sensed her heartbreak from the moment her car pulled up in front of The Bachelor mansion.
“She saw the house and she saw me, and from there on it was really an emotional roller coaster for her,” Harrison told people.com. “It was tough for her to be back in that house where it all started. She thought she’d be planning a wedding or even be married to Brad.”
Instead, Maynard found herself fighting back tears and explaining why she and her fiance didn’t make it, a topic that has been fodder for tabloids for months.
“I know a lot has been written about Brad and Emily,” tweeted Fleiss. “Don’t believe everything you read. Get the truth from Emily herself– this Monday night.”
The Bachelorette airs Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
