CBS has a lot to brag about as the No. 1 network in total viewers. Today, the network announced the renewal of 15 series — without waiting for the May upfronts at which time the fall schedule is normally announced.
The dramas that were given the nod for a new season are NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Blue Bloods, Person of Interest, The Mentalist, Criminal Minds, The Good Wife, Hawaii Five-0, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
The fate of new series A Gifted Man and Unforgettable is yet to be determined.
In comedy, 2 Broke Girls and Mike & Molly will join the previously renewed How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory on the fall schedule.
Two and a Half Men is currently in talks for an additional season, but no decision has yet been made.
In the news department, 60 Minutes and 48 Hours Mystery will be back, as will the unscripted shows The Amazing Race and Undercover Boss.
