When Susan Lucci refused to sign for the web version of All My Children, it put the first nail in the coffin of the daytime drama. Now, Prospect Park, the media group and production company which obtained the rights to both AMC and One Life to Live, has announced that it will not go forward with that project at this time. One of the difficulties Prospect Park is having with All My Children is getting cast members to sign on the dotted line for the web version of the soap. So far, only Cameron Mathison and Lindsay Hartley have agreed to participate.
But over at One Life to Live, Erika Slezak (Victoria Lord), Michael Easton (John McBain), Ted King (Tomas Delgado), and Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer) have all signed on for the web version and plans are going ahead on the soap, which will air its final episode on ABC in January.
