Remember Dia Frampton, the Blake Shelton protege who came in second on the premiere season of The Voice? The singer talks with Billboard magazine about her new album, Dia Frampton: Red, and performs and one of its songs, Isabella.
Frampton discusses her experience on the NBC hit show, her career as a solo artist, and her new album. She explains the motivation behind Isabella, the song she wrote for her little sister, Nikki, during a tough time in her parents’ relationship.
“I was on The Voice and really, really busy,” says Frampton. “I felt like half of me wanted to be home to take care of my four little sisters, because they were having such a hard time with it.”
To check out the competition on this season’s The Voice, tune in to the show every Monday at 8 p.m. on NBC.
