“Shedding for the Wedding,” from the producers of “The Biggest Loser,” premieres tonight – and thehollywoodknow.com has your sneak peek!

Sara Rue, who lost 50 pounds last year on Jenny Craig and is engaged to be married, is the perfect fit as host. But she didn’t think so in the beginning.

“When Dave [Broome, executive producer] and everyone over at The CW called me and asked me if this was something I’d be interested in, my first thought, even though I’m a full-on reality junkie, was ‘Oh, I don’t know. Hosting, I don’t know. I’ve been an actor for so long.’ And then when I went in and sat down with Dave and we started talking about what the show was really going to be about — yes, it’s about weight loss, but it’s also about these couples really bonding and making each other better so that they can start their lives at their happiest and healthiest — I got really excited about it.”

“Shedding for the Wedding” features nine overweight couples competing to see who can lose the most weight with the goal of winning an all-expense paid wedding of their dreams.

Sara, who says her reality show is “really good,” says it inspired her to set the date for her own big day when she will marry Kevin Price.

“It was fun to host the challenges,” Sara says. “Every week, we would have a different vendor. So one week we would do the invitations, or the dresses or the flowers. And I was definitely doing a little bit of shopping while also completing my hosting duties, I hope. But I definitely was checking things out and getting ideas. And I would say to the contestants, ‘I’m totally stealing that.’”

Catch the “Shedding for the Wedding” premiere tonight following “America’s Next Top Model” at 9 p.m. on The CW.
